This festival offers up family-friendly fun that welcomes the autumn season. Old Baker Farm

Through the month of October, experience the autumn season at Old Baker Farm, a Harpersville farm that has been in operation for almost 100 years. Bring your family and enjoy a hayride through Dead Hollow Swamp, corn and hay mazes, and the chance to pick your own pumpkin and cotton. You can even meet some of the farm animals!

9th Annual Barber Vintage Festival

Motorcycle enthusiasts, this one’s for you! This annual festival showcases vintage motorcycles and events including vintage motorcycle road racing, motocross, cross country, stunt shows and a vintage firetruck display. There will also be several educational seminars throughout this three-day festival along with a Motorcycles by Moonlight benefit dinner.

Tailgate for Cure

This charity concert and football watch party benefits the Alabama Institute of Medicine (AIM). Sure to be Birmingham’s biggest tailgate party, this event features multiple big-screen SEC football broadcasts throughout the day and musical performances by Taylor Hicks, Sarah Simmons (The Voice), Tim Hockenberry (America’s Got Talent) and Within Reason.

Local Flavor Festival 2013 

Celebrating 10 Years of Breakin’ Bread

The Birmingham Originals are proud to present their 10th annual food festival. Enjoy samplings from more than 40 independent Birmingham restaurants with wine and beer tastings. Band of Angels

Alys Stephens Center – Jemison Hall

Band of Angels is a multi-movement work by Alabama composer K. Lee Scott. The free world premiere will be performed by the Magic City Choral Society alongside choirs from local high schools and colleges. This compelling work features traditional spirituals, hymns from the Civil Rights Movement, and scriptures blended together to form a tribute to the 16th Street Church bombing in 1963.
