This local show combines horror with hilarity. When a young man is possessed by the spirit of Santa Claus himself, all hell breaks loose as a respected priest must summon all his courage to do battle and destroy the demon once and for all. A Bluegrass Christmas Carol

This totally new telling of Dickens’ classic tale is set in the Appalachian Mountains and features the original storyline and characters we all know, except they’ve all been “mountainized”! Accompanied by one of the South’s finest bluegrass groups, The Herb Trotman Band, this family-friendly show promises to be Dickens as you’ve never seen it before.

Birmingham Ballet’s The Nutcracker

Rising Design Star Challenge

Birmingham Fashion Week

One of the favorite traditions of Birmingham Fashion Week is the Rising Design Star Challenge, which is open to all students grades 6-12. Teens apply by sketching a design incorporating unconventional materials and filling out an application. The selected finalists will then get to create their garment to walk the runway at BFW 2014.
