Key to the Cure

Homewood Loves Art Night

Downtown Homewood

On the third Friday of each month, drop by downtown Homewood stores for an after-hours party featuring the area’s visual artists, musicians, and artisan-made products. Participating shops will be open extended hours and will serve food and drinks. The event is free and open to the public.

This annual fall fest will include a pumpkin carving contest, a costume contest, balloon art, face painting, live music, and more. The event will also feature grilling out on the patio, wine by the glass specials, and local beer specials. Proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital of Alabama.

Boo at the Zoo

Birmingham Botanical Gardens

The Gardens will host its annual Fall Plant Sale in the Blount Plaza, welcoming patrons to purchase herbs, sustainable trees, fall annuals, shrubs, natives, perennials, and more. All plants have been selected especially for Birmingham’s climate, and proceeds from sales will benefit programming for the Gardens.

Jewish Food Festival
October 19 from 11 AM – 2:00 PM

Now in its 12th year, the Friedman Family Foundation Jewish Food Festival offers delicious traditional Jewish foods–like brisket, noodle kugel, stuffed cabbage, and matzoh ball soup–in a fun, fall festival atmosphere. There will also be a pumpkin patch, bounce house, pony rides, and live music.
