Vanessa Carlton, best known for the 2002 hit “A Thousand Miles,” recently released her fifth album, “Liberman.” Canadian singer/songwriter Joshua Hyslop opens her show.



The BMR Holiday Soirée with Moon Taxi

For the members of Moon Taxi, their third album, “Mountains Beaches Cities,” represents the idea of exploration — searching both the world and themselves for new experiences. The Birmingham rock group has amped up the speed and turned up the volume, creating an overall bigger sound.

Enjoy swingin’ Rat Pack tunes in this fun, entertaining, and touching Christmas show, which includes classic songs and holiday favorites from Frank, Dean, Sammy, and Joey– the Rat Pack.



Tacky Paws for Claus
Dec. 19, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Just Happy Hounds-Midtown

Bring your furry friends dressed in their favorite holiday attire. Enjoy music by local singer Megan Markle, pictures with Santa, a tacky sweater contest, food, drinks, and more. Proceeds benefit The Birmingham Humane Society.



ASO presents Handel’s Messiah

Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center

The Alabama Symphony orcehestra presents one of the world’s most popular choral works, Handel’s Messiah, which delights audiences every holiday season.

Saturn Birmingham

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of Vince Guaraldi’s holiday classic. Atlanta musicians Jeffrey Butzer & T.T. Mahony bring the classic soundtrack album to life.



Art X Sole

Art x Sole is a pop-up urban exhibit curated by Toshi Living. Admittance to the exhibit is free with an unwrapped toy, pack of socks, or shoe donation. Enjoy live music and complimentary beer and wine.
