In regards to the Women In Community section – you left off one person in particular. I congratulate and commend you on acknowledging Dr. Marquitta Davis but you failed to recognize the woman who helped to get her where she is today – Gayle Cunningham the executive director of the Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity and Head Start. Ms. Cunningham’s achievements are far to vast to even expound upon at the present moment for her she not only runs one of the most successful non-profit organizations and head start programs in Alabama but in the Southeast as a whole (has been recognized by MSNBC and Johnson and Johnson to just name a few for her outstanding achievements) – but please know that when you want to commend great women within the City of Birmingham – she should and needs to be at the top of any list.
