This year’s theme, “Phenomenal Woman,” named for the famous Maya Angelou poem, invites attendees to read a poem, speech, essay, or book excerpt authored by an African American woman. This event is for everyone–all ages, genders, and races are invited to attend.

Honor Black History Month this Thursday at the BCRI with this program that is free and open to the public. This year’s forum is titled “What are the Civil Rights Issues in 21st Century America?” and will take place in the Rev. Abraham L. Woods, Jr. Community Meeting Room.

This 22nd annual ball is Camp Smile-A-Mile’s largest fundraising event each year. Attendees will enjoy a seated dinner with a live auction followed by dancing and music. There is also a silent auction that people may browse during the cocktail hour before dinner. This year’s event expects more than 1,000 guests.

 


Ovarian Cycle Ride to Change the Future

The OCRF Ovarian Cycle Ride to Change the FutureĀ® is a 6-hour indoor cycling event dedicated to raising funds to support much-needed ovarian cancer research.
