Zoo Run

Birmingham Zoo
Run wild through the Birmingham Zoo in this annual 5K race, which benefits Painted Dog Conservation this year. The 5K is open to all ages and levels, and a kids’ fun run is also available. All race participants will enjoy free admission to the Zoo for the rest of the day.


Cahaba Lily Festival

West Blocton, AL

This annual festival begins with indoor nature presentations and ends with a celebration surrounded by the Cahaba lilies. Rent a canoe and canoe amongst the lilies, or enjoy artwork and nature-themed crafts. The day ends with a storytelling event and dulcimer concert.

Do Dah Day

When Pigs Fly! Kosher BBQ Cook-off
May 18 from 11 AM – 3:00 PM
The LJCC

This 5th annual festival hosted by Temple Beth-El is the only Kosher BBQ cook-off in Alabama. Celebrity judges will select the best entries in each category, while attendees can sample food and vote for the “People’s Choice” award.

Birmingham Boys Choir Spring Concert

This 36th annual spring concert will feature the Birmingham Boys Choir performing works by Handel, Mendelssohn, and Britten. The BBC will also be accompanied by a jazz trio at this concert that is free and open to the public.
