Barber Motorsports Vintage Festival
Barber Motorsports Park, 10/12 – 10/14

It’s rolling up this weekend! Presented by Triumph Dealers of North America, one of the world’s most extensive collections of motorcylces at Barber Motorsports Park is the backdrop for more activities than ever during the 2012 Vintage Festival.  A thrilling air show, motorcycle stunt team, circus thrill show, a world famous swap meet, the America’s First Federal Credit Union Fan Zone, on-track action and much more, will bring the motorcycle culture to life all weekend! The Avett Brothers
Live at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, 10/11

The Avett Brothers combine bluegrass, country, punk, pop melodies, folk, rock and roll, honky tonk, and ragtime to produce a sound described by the San Francisco Chronicle as having the “heavy sadness of Townes Van Zandt, the light pop concision of Buddy Holly, the tuneful jangle of the Beatles, the raw energy of the Ramones.” And they’re bringing their unique style to Alabama for a performance at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater with special guest, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. Fiesta 10:
Celebration of Hispanic Culture Marks 10th Year
in Birmingham!

Linn Park, 10/13, 12:00-8:00 PM

The 10th Annual Fiesta, Alabama’s largest celebration of Hispanic culture and heritage, comes to Linn Park this Saturday, October 13. While the largest crowds can be found in front of the main music stage, Fiesta offers a wide assortment of events including  storytelling, wrestling exhibitions, dance, performing arts, visual arts, children’s activities, soccer, cultural education, and authentic Latin food. Arts and Music on the Green
Uncorked on the Green

Arts and Music on the Green is a FREE juried art festival featureing 50 artists, held in conjunction with a FREE premiere beer and wine tasting festival, Uncorked on the Green! Special features include Battle of the Chefs – a spirited competition of Birmingham’s greatest culinary artists, the Kid’s Art Project, live music on two stages from The G Men, Shapiro Trio, Under the Covers, MMI and Radio Retro… all day from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Ross Bridge!Two cool events in one afternoon! Break’n Bread
Railroad Park

Alabama’s premier food and wine event, Break’n Bread will feature signature dish tastings from nearly 40 Birmingham Originals restaurants paired with a wide selection of wine and beer. Festival guests will also be treated to entertainment from local favorite Bonus Round, as well as the Alabama School of Fine Arts Orchestra. A designated kid’s area will feature activities by the Birmingham Zoo, kids cooking demos, pumpkin decorating, a DISCO writing workshop and more. A 12-time Grammy winner and Billboard Century Award recipient, singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris has enjoyed a career spanning 40 years. She has recorded more than 25 albums and has lent her talents to countless fellow artists’ recordings. In recognition of her remarkable career, Harris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008.  A Birmingham native and audience favorite, Harris returns to the Alys Stephens Center on October 19th! Already celebrated as a discoverer and interpreter of other artists’ songs, in the past decade Harris has gained admiration as much for her eloquently straightforward songwriting as for her incomparably expressive singing.
