Dead Heads! Celebrate Grateful Dead’s 50-year career at Saturn on July 3 through July 5 with a 3-day live simulcast of the anniversary show played by the band’s original Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir, and joined by Phish’s Trey Anastasio. Saturn’s “Wall of Sound” speaker system will ensure an optimal listening experience that may rival actually being at Solider Field in Chicago.

Members of the acclaimed storytelling organization The Moth, which The Wall Street Journal calls New York’s “hippest, hottest literary event,” is coming to Birmingham to tell stories about Southern identity in a free, after-hours event from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Birmingham Museum of Art.
