Magic City Sunday Supper
Accepting orders now

A limited number of 50 locally-made suppers will be available for home delivery or pickup on April 12. Each box feeds six and features food from Birmingham’s most celebrated restaurants, like Bottle & Bone, Bottega Cafe, and Edgar’s Bakery. Best of all, proceeds help end hunger by benefiting the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.

Stirling Lecture: R.J. Mitte

Birmingham-Southern College

R.J. Mitte, co-star of AMC’s Emmy-winning drama Breaking Bad and equality and diversity activist, will speak at the BSC campus about his real-life experiences dealing with cerebral palsy and overcoming challenges associated with it. The event is free and open to the public.

At this 8th annual event, Birmingham professionals will sing on behalf of homeless animals to support the 36th annual

Do Dah Day. Audience members will vote for their favorite performer, and the top vote getter will be named Birmingham’s Critter Idol.

Classical EDGE Series

Alabama Symphony Orchestra‘s Classical EDGE series introduces new musicians who are defying conventional sound. This week, hear musician Wye Oak and Brooklyn composer William Brittelle collaborate on innovative re-imaginings of Wye Oak songs. The concert will be followed by an after party at Parkside Cafe.

Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum

Hop aboard the Cottontail Express for a ride to Peter Cottontail’s meadow. Join in the fun at the meadow hunting for Easter eggs and partaking in the jump station, coloring station, and sandbox. Be sure to bring your camera to take photos with Peter Cottontail himself.

2015 Men’s Lakeshore Cup  

March 31 – April 2
Lakeshore Foundation

The USA Men’s Wheelchair Basketball team will compete against Canada, Great Britain, and Australia in this year’s Men’s Lakeshore Cup here in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to see these teams as they prepare for the summer Paralympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
