Birmingham Barons vs. Mississippi Braves

The 2013 season proved to be one of the most memorable in the long and storied history of Birmingham baseball as the Barons celebrated their return to downtown with the franchise’s 14th Championship. Cheer on the Barons as they play against the Mississippi Braves this week.

PLUS don’t miss the 19th annual Rickwood Classic, which will be held at the historic Rickwood Field TODAY at 12:30 PM. The Barons will match up against the Braves, and both teams will sport their “throwback” uniforms.

Summer Concert Series

After a sold-out concert last year, local blues legends Mr. “Gip” Gipson and Earl “Guitar” Williams are back this year to jam in the gardens. Bring a picnic dinner, refreshments, blankets, and chairs and experience these Alabama blues musicians live under the stars.

Firehouse Shelter Benefit Luncheon
June 27 from 11:30 AM – 1 PM
The Harbert Center

At this year’s annual benefit for the Firehouse Shelter, guests will be joined by special guest Sylvester Croom, former Alabama football player under Paul “Bear” Bryant. Croom was the first African-American coach in SEC history and is the current running backs coach for the Tennessee Titans.

PNC Presents Relax by the Tracks

Relax by the tracks with free live music at Railroad Park! This after-work concert series, made possible by PNC and hosted by Railroad Park Foundation’s Junior Board, is open to everyone. World Cup 2014 at Iron City

The World Cup comes once every 4 years. This year, Iron City will be Birmingham’s headquarters for all World Cup matches. The Iron City music venue will be transformed into world cup central where soccer fans can watch their favorite teams on a 240 square ft HD projector screen.
