Birmingham couple Jenny and Will tied the knot on November 22, 2014 at the bride’s family home. It was important for Jenny to have the reception at home, so the pair turned to Event Rentals Unlimited to transform the backyard into an elegant wedding venue.
“An outdoor autumn palate was created for this wedding with hues of gold, orange, and white with fall greenery,” explains Becky Graham with Event Rentals Unlimited (ERU). “Our gold chiavari chairs helped set the tone for this elegant affair.”
Because the wedding took place in November, the bride and groom had concerns over the chilly fall weather. ERU stepped in with the perfect solution to bring comfort and style to the reception.
“We suggested a clear top tent to protect their guests from the elements,” says Becky. “This way, guests could still enjoy the gorgeous autumnal trees without having their view obstructed.”
The addition of heaters nestled throughout the tent added another layer of comfort; guests enjoyed all the beauty of the outdoors while still being able to celebrate all night in warmth.
As part of the largest tent and rental company in the Southeast, ERU has access to a wide variety of inventory that bring elegance and functionality to any event. The ERU team’s expert knowledge and service takes the stress out of planning and setup for your big day.
“We take pride in our southern hospitality,” says Becky, smiling. “You will not find a better customer experience in the state.”

We’re back with Event Rentals Unlimited – Birmingham to share one incredible Birmingham wedding that took place in January in an unexpected, yet gorgeous, setting.
“Beth and Jason chose a barn that isn’t actually used for events; it is used for construction,” explains Becky Graham with ERU. “The challenge was to turn this barn into an elegant wedding reception.”
Turning a working barn into a wedding venue is no easy task, but ERU took on the challenge and transformed the space into an unforgettable experience for wedding guests.
“The bride wanted an elegant, yet rustic affair,” says Becky. “Our farm tables and driftwood X-back chairs helped set the tone, while our crystal glassware and gold chargers kept it elegant.”
A second challenge ERU faced was the couple’s generous guest list—they realized soon into the planning stage that the barn alone would not be big enough to accommodate all of the wedding guests.
“We added a clear top tent with a white draped walkway out the back of the barn to extend the space,” Becky explains. “This tent housed the band and the dance floor, while the main barn housed the seated dinner.”
The result? A truly spectacular wedding reception that captured the bride and groom’s unique vision for their big day. Take a look at the photos below and find out more about Event Rentals Unlimited at www.erultd.com

Event Spotlight: The Zoo Gala

One of Birmingham’s most anticipated event is the annual Zoo Gala at The Birmingham Zoo. This past September, Event Rentals Unlimited – Birmingham brought the zoo alive through a colorful Moroccan Souk theme at the zoo’s celebrated Trails of Africa exhibit.
“The Birmingham Zoo wanted the event to have the feel of a Moroccan festival,” explains Mike Pozowicz, general manager at ERU. “We achieved this by using individual tents that helped create different vignettes.”
ERU selected high-peaked tents, which were then draped in rich, jewel-toned material for an authentic look. This gave guests visiting the various tents the experience of walking through a Moroccan street festival.
Throughout the evening of dinner, dancing, and drinks, ERU’s lounge vignettes offered guests a comfortably stylish place to take a break.
“Our lounge furniture gave guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy the food, atmosphere, and the animals of the zoo,” says Mike.
Finally, ERU completed the Moroccan theme with round dining tables covered in an array of brightly-colored linens and its signature Fruitwood folding chairs. The photos below were captured during the day before the Zoo Gala, but you can imagine how the Trails of Africa lit up as the sun went down.

From the centerpieces to the party favors, every detail of a wedding is perfectly planned out by a bride and groom. But don’t you think the rehearsal dinner needs some love, too?
The final celebration before a bride and groom’s big day deserves special attention, so we’re teaming up with Event Rentals Unlimited – Birmingham to share an elegant rehearsal dinner that will leave you feeling inspired.
Held at Windwood Weddings in Pelham, the soon-to-be-wed couple called on ERU to create a sophisticated, yet cozy feel for their wedding rehearsal with family and friends.
“The client wanted to mix and match the linens so that each table was different,” explains Becky Graham with ERU. “We achieved this look by using a floral print blue-grey linen and our penny nailhead table runners.”
The linens added a layer of chic to the rustic farm tables and fruitwood chiavari chairs that ERU supplied for the dinner. The team was faced with a challenge, however, when a forecast of rain threatened the couple’s outdoor rehearsal plans.
“The client asked us to put up a tent to protect guests from the elements,” says Becky. “But the bride was nervous that the tent would take away from the beautiful flowers and linens she had planned for the dinner.”
ERU quickly developed the perfect solution to combine function with style.
“To make the tent more elegant, we added a beautiful white draping in the top of the tent and covered the legs with the same draping,” Becky explains. “This helped it from looking like a tent, and our client was very pleased with that.”
