Next weekend, the annual Fall Community Showcase kicks off, inviting the Birmingham community to visit 13 of our city’s most beautiful neighborhoods. Hosted by the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders, this two-weekend event will be open to the public October 10-11 and 17-18.
In honor of this popular “open neighborhood” occasion, we’re spotlighting a different neighborhood every day on our Facebook page (follow along with the hashtag #BirminghamBuilder). To get started, we’re excited to share with you the 2015 Showcase Home, built by Donovan Builders, LLC.
Located in the Grey Oaks neighborhood in Pelham, the custom-built Showcase Home exudes traditional southern style starting with the multi-surface exterior featuring a combination of stone and brick.
Inside, unique textures and beautifully decorated rooms bring warmth and character to the home—don’t you love that curved stone fireplace and kitchen cabinet detailing?
Take a look at photos from the 2015 Showcase Home below, then see it for yourself next weekend. The house is located at 404 Grey Oaks Drive and will be open to the public both weekends during 10/10-10/18.

Today’s Fall Community Showcase spotlight is second to none: the neighborhood of Ross Bridge in Hoover. When you first enter Ross Bridge, you’ll notice its lush green landscaping, beautiful homes, and resort-style amenities.
“There are three neighborhood pools in Ross Bridge,” says Dorothy Tayloe, a broker with Ingram & Associates. “I could stop right there, and other community in Birmingham would come close to what Ross Bridge offers.”
Why stop there, though? The community also features miles of walking trails, the world-class Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa, a championship golf course, and the historic Ross Bridge Park. Throughout the year, residents gather for neighborhood events like its “Uncorked” wine tasting event and “Lighting of the Green” holiday celebration.
“Lifestyle is not something we just talk about,” says Tayloe. “It is the perfect place for a first-time buyer or an empty nester—plus everyone in between.”
Make plans to visit Ross Bridge as part of the 2015 Fall Community Showcase hosted by the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders. The neighborhood will be open to the public October 10-11 and 17-18.

The homes are craftsman in style, and most offer 3-4 bedroom floorplans. What we love about the up-and-coming neighborhood is its emphasis on community—from the streetlight-lined sidewalks to the playground and state-of-the-art swimming pool, you’ll enjoy getting to know your neighbors and spending time outdoors.
Turnberry Highlands is one of the 13 communities that will be open to the public this weekend, October 10-11 as well as October 17-18 as part of the Fall Community Showcase hosted by the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders.

The classic craftsman houses built by Harris Doyle Homes bring a signature style to the waterfront neighborhood.
