Make Valentine’s Day (or any evening) special with Fleming’s private label Schramsberg 46 Diamonds 2009. This extra dry sparkling wine is available exclusively at Fleming’s while it lasts, as only 350 cases were crafted exclusively for Fleming’s.

Forty-Six Diamonds is a collaboration between Fleming’s director of wine, Maeve Pesquera, Schramsberg winemaker Keith Hock, proprietors Monique and Hugh Davies, and renowned artist and wine enthusiast Thomas Arvid. The wine debuted in Fall 2013 with a series of wine dinners at Fleming’s restaurants across the country.

Another Schramsberg wine—Brut Blanc de Blancs—is always available on Fleming’s wine list. Now, instead of just a paper list, Fleming’s wine list is found digitally on each table’s iPad—along with descriptions and history of each wine. We tap Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs and—just for fun—share it from our table with Hugh Davies and others from the table via the system’s email. How awesome is this? Schramsberg and Apple products are two of my favorite things,  and Fleming’s has paired them very well!

Tonight we enjoy the specialty Schramsberg. The bottle, complete with its special label, arrives well chilled. It is poured into Fleming’s champagne flutes, which have drawn trumpet bowls, allowing the wine’s delightful effervescence to rise from the base to rim. The wine is classic in style, and balanced with a light sweetness, creamy texture, and racy acidity. Notes of pineapple, lemon, ginger, and honey are followed by flavors of peach, pear, orange, and baked apple. Share this limited-production wine with someone you love soon.
