What were your first impressions of each other?
C: First impression? 100 percent smoke show…84 out of 10.
J: He was so funny! He had such a light to his personality, and it was magnetic.
Describe your partner in three words.
C: Weird. Bombshell. Weird.
J: Smart, giving, and loyal.
What is your favorite thing about your partner?
C: That she matches me perfectly.
J: The way the makes me feel. He has lifted me up every day and made me feel important, loved, and safe.
When did you realize you had met “the one,” that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with each other?
C: Mine wasn’t a specific moment or an exact time. I started to witness myself changing. I knew Jordan’s influence was making me a better son, brother, and friend.
J: About a month after we met, we stayed up until sunrise talking on the phone. I felt as though I had known him for years.
Tell me about the proposal from your own perspective.
C: It was April Fools’ Day, and I decided that I was going to do a full day of friends, fun, eating, crying, sweets, family, and adventure for her. I wrote 13 different clues and letters. The last letter led her to me at the Vulcan. To sum the rest up: knee, nod, flawless victory.
J: I was speechless and amazed the whole day. He put so much thought into this huge production. Being on top of Vulcan at sunset with this amazing man on one knee was such an emotional experience.
What was your experience like shopping for the ring at Diamonds Direct?
C: I knew Jordan wanted an emerald cut, and they helped me figure out the rest. I haven’t seen one single person with a ring that looks anything like hers.
J: They nailed it. They completely captured my vision of simple and elegant.
What are you most looking forward to about spending the rest of your lives together?
C: I look forward to developing our relationship every single day, building a love and friendship to stand the test of time, and to one day looking back on everything and knowing that we lived one heck of a love story.
J: Seeing more places, adopting more dogs, trying new foods, telling more jokes, living in new places, starting a family, growing older…I’m excited for it all.
