What’s your mission?
The mission of Miss Moxie is to empower women with the tools and confidence to feel stylish and poised so they can focus inwardly.
How did you get your start in fashion?
I didn’t go out seeking a career in fashion. I have always been girly and creative, but I honestly fell into an opportunity that became a domino effect of other open doors. Long story short, I was a legal assistant in my 20s and my boss always complimented my style. She asked me to shop for her, so I did, and the rest is history!
Having a personal stylist come inside your closet is so beneficial, especially for those with busy lifestyles. Tell us what you offer for clients.
I offer the convenience and expertise of having an experienced pair of eyes help women create or hone their style as it relates to their lifestyle. My services include personal shopping, wardrobe audits, and my bestselling outfit photo look book. My services are affordable and practical. I consider myself the everyday woman’s stylist.
What is the look book you offer?
I consider the look book to be the niche of my business. My look book service is an album of photographed styled outfits, to include shoe and accessory options. I style pieces from a client’s existing wardrobe and create 25–35 outfit options per session, photograph them, and place in a physical album for my client. It truly is a game changer for women who need a fresh pair of eyes for their wardrobe. It’s an instant solution to the “I have a closet full of clothes, but I still have nothing to wear” problem that all women face.
What is the coolest part about your job?
Meeting new women every day! My clients are real women, and I consider it an honor to be able to connect with them in such a personal dynamic.
What’s the most challenging part of your job?
Dressing and styling someone is very personal. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, sometimes body image issues creep into the dressing room. If only every client could see what I see!
What styling mistakes do people often make and how can they avoid it?
It’s such a simple fix to have pants hemmed or dresses altered, so my inner stylist cringes when I see someone with ill-fitting clothing.
Do you feel pressured to look fabulous all the time?
Absolutely. I am a mom and I am a real woman. I am far from perfect and have days when I wear yoga pants all day. I teach women how to feel put together, so I definitely put pressure on myself to lead by example.
How can you look stylish on a budget?
Invest the bulk of your budget in a few key staple pieces and build around those with a few trendy, budget-friendly accessories. I am a huge bargain shopper at heart, so being stylish on a budget is something I’ve mastered.
Your favorite thing about styling?
I love putting outfits together! Accessorizing, color coordinating, mixing patterns, you name it. I consider it a type of therapy, and I feel completely fulfilled when I see a good look come together. Seeing my client’s face light up as they flip through their look book is a huge perk.
Any other stylists you resonate with or follow?
I love J’s Everyday Fashion blog because she is a real woman who shops on a budget and uses runway and celebrity style as her muse.

I’m loving chambray, blanket scarves, and booties right now.
Any staple pieces everyone needs in their closet?
Dark denim that fits well is a must-have piece.
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
People may expect my closet to be this glamorous space with tons of designer pieces, but I’m a real woman who loves Target finds as much as the next girl!
What is your most treasured possession?
I try not to put too much emphasis on material possessions, but I definitely treasure my engagement ring. It is one of those pieces that never loses its sparkle!
Is there one little thing people could do make their appearance more fresh or fashion forward?
I am a big accessory girl. Adding a long necklace, fun scarf or colorful shoe to your outfit is such a simple solution to a wardrobe rut. And shoes can make or break the look.
Who are your favorite writers?
I love Emily Griffin, although being a mom to two young girls doesn’t give me much time for leisure reading these days.
What is your motto?
Life is short…plan your outfit around your accessories.
