the city through the lens…

Dia de los Muertos, numero nueve en Memoria a Guillermo Castro, was held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011. The event, based on the Hispanic tradition that honors deceased loved ones, has been held at the former Bare Hands Gallery location on Richard Arrington Blvd. since 2003.  This year’s festivities paid special tribute to restaurateur Guillermo Castro,  who played  a great role in Dia de los Muertos  as it grew over the years. The pageantry of the performances and the altars make this event magic and one to put on your calendar for next year.
