Oncology, pregnancy, Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, and clinical

What is an oncology massage?

A massage tailored to the specific needs of those undergoing cancer treatment or those in survivorship.

Is massage therapy safe for cancer patients?

Only when seeing someone who is trained in this area.

How can massage benefit people living with cancer?

Research suggests that massage can decrease the side effects of medications, reduce symptoms of the disease, and lessen feelings of anxiety and depression, while increasing positive body image and better quality of life.

What does an oncology massage involve?

Creating the most relaxing and safe environment for each client; each person’s needs are different.

Do you require a consultation?

I require a thorough intake form and a release form from the client’s doctor.

What do you enjoy the most when you aren’t working?

Working my other labor of love, my family, my husband, Todd, and my 2-year-old son, Robert.

What are you most passionate about?

Educating others about oncology massage and massage in general. I love my job!

Which living person do you most admire?

My mother and stepfather, Bob and Debbie Snead, for completely different reasons. I admire them both more than I do anyone else.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Receiving massage—I could stay on the table all day.
