Strawberry Sorbet



12 big fresh strawberries, (frozen strawberries work well and freeze faster)

1 cup orange juice

¾ cup sugar

2 teaspoons lime juice

1 tablespoon Grand Marnier or any other liqueur  (optional)

fresh mint for garnish

Start with the orange juice and the sugar in a small saucepan, on low heat, and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Boil the mixture for one minute then remove from heat. Pour the syrup into a container and chill the mixture in the refrigerator. Puree the fresh strawberries and chill.

Mix the orange juice and strawberries together, add the lemon juice and Grand Marnier. Then follow the directions of your Ice Cream Maker. These also make good frozen treats if you pour into an ice-pop mold and freeze.
