From the parades, parties, and legendary tailgating to the action on the field, the Magic City Classic is much more than a game. In fact, it is the largest attended HBCU Football Classic in the nation, consistently drawing more than 65,000 fans. The game features Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University, and it’s the longest continuous rivalry in the state of Alabama.
While the game is almost always competitive and interesting, the activities that surround the Classic are probably the most fascinating aspect of what is regularly called a “classic” weekend.
