Date Night: The Marble Ring

An Avondale bar with the feel of a 1920s speakeasy.

With cocktail servers dressed as flappers and bartenders in white shirts and suspenders, the setting is perfect for an experience that transports you back to the roaring twenties, right in the heart of Avondale. The Marble Ring is upstairs above Fancy’s on Fifth, and accessed by steps that also lead up to Hot Diggity Dog. You find the Marble Ring by walking into the Tardis-like phone booth, picking up the phone and getting buzzed in.

A magnificent central bar lit by a crystal chandelier is surrounded by seating arrangements, some near hearths and all featuring a pull string hanging from the wall that lights up a bulb behind the bar and lets your server know you need a drink.

“The inspiration behind The Marble Ring was simple, a modern twist on an American institution,” says owner Paget Pizitz. “The look and feel of The Marble Ring is an intimate, subtle decadence. Romance and nostalgia. Our guests enter through a hidden door. They are immediately taken through a journey of the senses; laughter, thoughtful cocktails and intimate conversations.”

From date night, to an after-work cocktail or a celebration of life, The Marble Ring tells a different story for each guest. How that story begins and ends is left in your hands.

Signature Drinks

The Marble Ring’s signature drinks change quarterly, with ingredients they are able to procure seasonally. The House Old Fashioned is the most beloved signature cocktail; with a touch of demerara, a classic takes on a whole new dimension.
