The 39th Magic City Art Connection runs April 22-24 at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark. Birmingham’s largest city center outdoor arts festival comes alive each spring with its blast of fresh artistic talent, sights, sounds, tastes, and aromas.
The 39th year of the festival will spotlight 150 juried, fine artists from the region and around the country alongside the 25th Corks & Chefs: A Taste of Birmingham (get info & tickets!), Imagination Festival art workshops for kids, special exhibitions and art installations, new entertainment district at the Sloss Visitor’s Center featuring live music & dance performances on stage plus festival cafe food trucks and vendors, lounging in the open air around Sloss, and much more. Hours on April 22-24; Friday, April 22, 12:00pm – 6:00pm; Saturday, April 23, 10:00am – 6:00pm; Sunday, April 24, 10:00am – 5:00pm. Tickets are available in following configurations: (1) Day Ticket $10 (2) 3 Day Ticket $15 (Advance only) (3) Friday Twilight Happy Hour Ticket $25: Kick off the Festival’s 39th year weekend by joining us for a special Twilight Happy Hour Event from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, April 22 featuring a live performance, a complimentary cocktail, a charcuterie box to enjoy, and a sunset over the Festival’s first day. This $25 ticket also includes entry to MCAC all 3 days.
Chloe York is the Featured Artist of the 39th Magic City Art Connection.
Against the rustic backdrop of this national historic landmark in Birmingham, Alabama, Chloe’s paintings pop! Her pieces are an artful portal into the depths of our planet’s oceans, and have been influenced by the time she’s spent living waterside. The work comes to life on the wall transporting the viewer to a bio-diverse environment or composition of her creation.
Chloe was named MCAC’s Best in Show juried winner last year.
