Dr. Donna Briggins is passionately dedicated to community development. As an adjunct professor at UAB, she taught contemporary policy issues. In 2008, she was appointed to the Atlanta Commission on Women. Donna also founded BUILD 4 ALL, a nonprofit that serves ex-offenders by teaching better life and decision-making skills. She consulted with the Birmingham International Center, conducting a workshop on managing diversity in the classroom and co-chaired its International Women’s Day Awards dinner. In her spare time, Donna volunteers with the Legacy Initiative-Titusville Marker Committee and the NAACP. She has authored several articles on social issues, her personal emotional and psychological journey and the book, “Why We Must Vote”.
