In the late 1970s, Bill Kinnebrew and his father founded Indianwood Building Companies, building executive-style homes and apartment complexes throughout Birmingham. For more than 30 years. Bill has served as president and is currently developing Harmony Cove on Lake Martin. He is a Patron level sponsor for Children’s Harbor at Lake Martin, providing construction and repair help. During November and December, he makes nearly 60 appearances as Santa to raise money for the organization. Bill is a member of the Remodelers Council, past president of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders and serves on the Board of Directors both locally and nationally. Awards include: Builder of the Year, Presidential Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and many Parade of Homes Gold and Silver awards. He served the Shelby County Planning Commission for 16 years, chairman for two terms. Bill has built Habitat for Humanity homes and two scholarship homes for King’s Ranch, receiving their Philanthropy Award. Bill is a member of the Elks Lodge at Lake Martin. He is married and has one son and daughter-in-law.
