Frances Faulks fulfilled her childhood dream by teaching elementary school for 25 years and as a college instructor for five years. She has been a Girl Scout Troop Leader at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church and Charles A. Brown School for more than 40 years—at one time leading the largest troop in the Girl Scout Council. Frances is a member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc. and has served as an advisor for the youth affiliate. She is also a supervisor for Junior Imperial/Imperialite Club, a local, regional and national affiliate National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs. Frances is a member of the Board of Directors for A. H. Parker NAF Academy for Educators and was named a 2021 StrongHer honoree.
