TOP 50 OVER 50: Laura King

Laura King is a recent retiree from Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging (M4A), where she served as the nutrition and transportation supervisor. During her tenure at M4A, Laura served in several leadership roles, including the board of directors for Alabama Gerontological Society, Positive Maturity’s RSVP Advisory Council for Shelby and Walker counties, St. Clair Transportation Board and ClasTran. These roles provided opportunities to develop strong partnerships with city and county municipalities while she advocated for the aging community to live and thrive in their communities. Currently, she serves on the M4A ALL Foundation. Laura has been married for 35 years, has two grown children and an 8-month-old grandson, Weller Lee. She and her family reside in Helena.
