Dr. Mark A. Stafford is professor emeritus in Internal Medicine at UAB and has practiced primary care for more than 40 years. His passion is empowering patients using everyday examples and analogies to improve doctor-patient communication. In addition to the latest science, Mark addresses the spiritual and psychological influences on health. He has received numerous teaching awards and has been named among the Best Doctors in America multiple years. His patients are his passion. When not working, Mark enjoys time with his wife, Kelly, reading, music and perching himself on the beach shoreline.
