The wedding of Chloe Cook and Josh Vasa took place at the beginning of October, the ceremony and reception at the Kress Building downtown with catering and bar service from Savoie Catering Company.
Chloe is the executive director of the Sidewalk Film Center and Cinema, and the Sidewalk Film Festival. Josh is the director of growth and strategy at Jones Valley Teaching Farm. The couple met when both were working at Sidewalk Film Festival.
Chloe, a native of Talladega, and Josh, a native of Raleigh who grew up in Hoover, live in Glen Iris with Chloe’s daughter, Clea (12 years old) and a very loud beagle mix, Sox.
When marriage seemed like the logical next step, Josh first “proposed” to Clea (asking her permission to ask Chloe to marry him). When she agreed, he presented her with a small version of Chloe’s wedding band. Then a few days later, Josh and Chloe flew to New York City for what Chloe thought was a work trip for Josh but what turned out to be an amazing proposal trip to their favorite city.
