Russell Jackson was living his childhood dream as a firefighter for the city of Hoover. Everything changed in 1992 after responding to a medical call that resulted in the tragic death of a 2-year-old boy. This defining moment redirected Russell’s career path to founding Kid One Transport. The nonprofit medical transportation program became a national model and to date has served more than 50,000 children and expectant mothers in Alabama.
