Joy. Sadness. Sung with a voice that carries a depth of feeling.
Her first instrument was a ukulele, given to her by her mother, the last Christmas present she was able to share with her mother. She passed away sometime later, creating a deep sense of loss in Rebecca that seeped into her music.
After attending UAB and studying communications and public relations, she became a regular at open mic nights around the city and began to play guitar.
“The content of my songs is honest and vulnerable, and audiences are open to, or maybe even looking for, that kind of connection.
“The Birmingham music scene is very, very special,” Rebecca says. “Everyone tries to lift each other up in the scene here.”
