David Bannister is a father to three kids, Pop Pop to two grandkids and husband of 35 years. A 31-year resident of Hoover, David has been involved in many area charities and organizations, including: Susan G. Komen, Hoover YMCA, Neighborhood Bridges Hoover, Hoover High Athletics, a two-time school board member of the SAE School, a member of Leadership Hoover, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel and the 2023 Hoover Face of the Year winner. David’s passion is helping local school age kids realize their potential and get opportunities to succeed. His motto is to take the trip, buy the shoes and eat the cake! We get all the sleep we need when we die!
