Real estate giant RealtySouth opened a new office in Downtown Birmingham in response to market demand. Located in the historic landmark Denechaud House, at Second Avenue North and Richard Arrington Jr Blvd N, the location adjoins the famous Florentine Building.
“Company growth boils down to supply and demand – a responsible company listens to the pulse of their market. We’ve been fortunate to be selling real estate in downtown Birmingham since 1955, and it seemed appropriate to select an established location for an established market leader,” says RealtySouth President and CEO, Richard Grimes. The Denechaud House has a rich history. Constructed in 1887, it was originally a European hotel and restaurant, and was the original location of Brennan’s, which became famous after they moved to New Orleans. The current owners are Comer & Upshaw law firm.
With nearly a dozen agents fully operational out of the location, the managing Broker, Greg Comer, says: “We are located in the heart of the loft district. Swing by any time to visit with one of our dozen talented agents who live nearby and work here. They knowing all about the in’s and out’s of downtown living.”
